Clove – The Oil of Boundaries

Native to the Spice Islands and traded around Asia and beyond, Clove has earned the title of ‘Flower of the Gods’. This evergreen tree grows up to 8–12 m tall, with large leaves and crimson flowers grouped in terminal clusters. From this diverse tree all parts of the plant have been used for a whole range of medicinal, culinary and spiritual purposes. The essential oil of Clove is made from the flowers buds through steam distillation.
