Veterinarian in Calgary discusses Frankincense use in Veterinary medicine

Frankincense has been used for medicinal purposes for thousands of years. People may remember that The Three Wiseman gave baby Jesus gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.

Frankincense is a resin from a tree of the Bosweillia genus. The essential oil of frankincense can be used topically and orally to treat cancers, inflammations, and asthmas.

In this video, Dr Schell demonstrates the use of a Frankincense resin burner. We use it every day at Bow Bottom Veterinary Hospital.
